Chapter 85

Siya yawned as she woke up after a good nap in the afternoon. Today was hectic, Mrinal and Devika had puja so She had to supervise the cooks and make sure everyone eats properly. Even little Avishikta has started her pre-school. Abhimanyu himself drops her and Siya picks her up. After that she also tries to help in preparation for lunch because Mrinal shooed her away. After taking bath she picked up her daughter and coming back all of them had lunch except Abhimanyu and Abhay who were in the office. Then she did some preparations for her handmade breads, checked all the necessary items for drinks and savouries.

Siya got up making her hair into a messy bun.

Went downstairs after splashing some water on her face.

‘Tomorrow is a big day. Oh Siya you came, Archi and Netra just came. Go to the kitchen.’ Mrinal and Devika were sitting alone with some of house helps.

‘Ma is it necessary to call this much people I am just opening a bakery?’

‘Nothing is mere.

‘It’s not the best hotel of this country, it’s just a home bakery.’ She pouted

‘You better concentrate on the desserts than the guest list. I promised you bacha all are family members no outsiders.’ Devika assured her.

‘Ok Ma. Choti Dadi your baby doll is still sleeping if she wakes up and comes down call me.’

*******

‘So base for every items are ready. We have to do the processing and then will do garnishing from 7 to 8:30 and then shifting will take 30 minutes, setting the items will take another 45 minutes and then Ta da.’

Archi said explaining. She is just like her madam Suhani. She was Suhani’s assistant until she met Siya and came to know about her bakery opening and her inner child couldn’t lose the chance. One thing she had to face was Abhimanyu’s test on her background.

Next day Siya did work with them and then they all went to the brand-new bakery.

Everyone was already there. As promised, they were all family. Siya wore her best suit matching with her daughter. They first did Laxmi, Ganesh puja and then Siya, Abhimanyu and Avishikta cut the ribbon.

She welcomed everyone and handed the most interesting Menu Card ever.

Siya served everyone what they have ordered. Once everyone started praising her she cried out and her daughter wiped her tears.

‘Mama don’t cly (cry) much. Smile everyone is saying you know magic.’

‘I have never imagined you all will be here.’ She thanked each and everyone individually from Asha Ma, her childhood friends to all the youngsters. Especially Archi and Netra.

‘Remember Siya to us you and Jiya are same as Barsha. If we can be part of Barsha’s award ceremony for best manager in her office we can be part of your Bakery opening, Jiya’s Instagram reels to promote her handmade jewelleries. As much as we love Mannu and Adi we love you two also. Here in this household daughters are same as sons and daughter in laws are same as daughters.’ It was Mainak, Mrinal’s Jethu.

‘Only son in laws get special treatments her Siya.’ Mridul said glaring at the duo.

‘Mridul!’ Aroni glared back at him.

‘Oh common Aru look at these two one is smiling like fools and other one is eating like there is no tomorrow after taking away my most precious Mira and Bristi.’

Mridul is still same very protective over Mira and Barsha. Brasha is his heart, she was someone he prayed for everyday so that his wife who had so many miscarriages will be at peace.

And Mira everyone knows Mira wouldn’t be Mrinal Chatterjee Singh Raizda if it wasn’t him who saw her and saved her so he is one of who is most over protective for them.

‘Leave all this today is my daughter’s special day. So cheers in honour of our Siya.’ Anuj said pulling her into hug and they all did cheers.

‘Ma, Choti Ma I was thinking can we all go to some trip?’

‘Let’s go to Banaras then.’ It was Mrinal.

‘Really?’ Siya asked.

‘Mira you sure you wanna go?’ Devika asked.

‘Yes Choti Ma, the place might hold must painful memories for me yet for you three it was the first place which saved you. Just like Mahadev saved me.’ Hearing her words Siya remembered what Barsha told her once, her Ma, Mrinal’s mother Ragini was murdered by her father only. She was later saved by Mridul. On the other hand, Abhay flew with Vishal and Devika. They stayed in a temple for days until they received help.

Truly Mahadev has blessed them.

‘Yah!! We are going to Banaras!!’ Little Avishikta exclaimed in joy letting everyone know in the house.

As the plane soared through the sky, there was a calm anticipation of the rich cultural and spiritual experience that awaited them. For Abhay and Mrinal, Banaras was a city of memories, where they had spent their youth, while Devika and Vishal cherished the ancient wisdom the city represented. For Siya and Abhimanyu, the trip was a chance to connect their daughter with heritage, ensuring that the next generation would appreciate their roots.

Upon arrival, their fleet of luxury SUVs whisked them to the grand hotel overlooking the Ganges. The hotel Avishikta itself was a modern palace, with intricate stone carvings and expansive courtyards, blending seamlessly into the historical fabric of the city. Avishikta, full of energy, ran around the opulent marble-floored lobby, while Devika, regal in her silk saree, held her husband’s arm as they took in the view of the Ganga from the panoramic windows.

‘Papa it’s in my name!’

‘Yes princess it’s yours.’ Abhimanyu said making her wonder.

The Raizadas were staying at the penthouse suite, complete with private butlers and balconies offering a serene view of the ghats below. After freshening up, they gathered for a light brunch in the suite's dining room, a mix of traditional Indian fare and international gourmet dishes served by a team of chefs. Siya, dressed in an elegant chikankari kurta, discussed the itinerary with the family as Abhimanyu sipped his espresso, nodding in agreement.

Their first stop was the famed Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Despite their status, the family opted to walk through the bustling streets of Banaras, soaking in the vibrant energy of the narrow lanes, filled with chanting devotees, flower sellers, and the scent of incense wafting through the air. Abhay, now a devout man, walked ahead with Mrinal, who adjusted her gold-embroidered dupatta, while Abhimanyu guided little Avishikta through the crowd. Vishal and Devika followed closely, occasionally reminiscing about their previous visits to the holy city.

Upon reaching the temple, the family was ushered in not through a special entrance reserved for VIPs, but along with long queue. Inside the temple, the sound of bells echoed, and the air was thick with devotion. Abhay led the prayers, with the priest offering a special aarti for the Raizada family. Siya stood with her hands folded, whispering her own prayers for Avishikta, who was mesmerized by the elaborate rituals. The spiritual aura of the place left them feeling grounded and peaceful.

Later in the evening, they made their way to the Dashashwamedh Ghat for the famous Ganga Aarti. The family was seated on a private deck by the riverside, away from the crowd. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an ethereal glow over the waters, they watched the priests perform the aarti with synchronized movements, offering prayers to the river goddess. The flickering lamps, the rhythmic chants, and the scent of sandalwood filled the air, creating a spiritual atmosphere that left everyone in quiet contemplation. Devika, with her hands softly resting on Vishal’s, whispered, "This place never loses its magic."

Avishikta, wide-eyed, sat between her parents, holding Siya’s hand while leaning into Abhimanyu’s shoulder, asking questions about the rituals. Abhimanyu explained the significance of the aarti, while Siya kissed her forehead, smiling at her curiosity.

The next few days were spent exploring Banaras at a leisurely pace. The Raizadas visited Sarnath, took a boat ride at dawn along the Ganges, where the rising sun bathed the ghats in a soft, golden light. Abhay and Vishal shared stories about the city’s history and its role in shaping the family’s legacy. In the evening, they floated candles in the river putting them inside shaal pata.

‘Make a wish Doll. It will take your wish to Mahadev.’ Devika said to 5 years old Avishikta who replied ‘I am going to pray for all of us.’

They dined at good local venues, sampling the finest local cuisine, all prepared with the flair and elegance befitting their stature.

On the final day, the family decided to offer food and clothes to the underprivileged, a tradition they had followed for generations. Avishikta, with childlike enthusiasm, helped distribute packages alongside her grandparents, learning about the importance of giving back to society.

That day everyone retired back to home when Abhimanyu took his wife for a boat ride where they were alone. Siya’s head was on his shoulder as they watched descending sun in the Ganges. Slowly the water got filled with candle which was put inside a bowl made of Shaal pata.

Siya intertwined their fingers and said ‘I will always cherish the moment I said yes to our marriage.’

‘You had to say yes to me.’ He was true that he would have marry her, make her his at any cost that day.

‘That I know, but won’t you ask why?’

‘Why TweetyBird?’

‘My life was hell Abhi Ji, so I had given it to you, to the DEVIL.’ She whispered making him kiss her forehead.

******

Months later

‘It’s been a while I have been inside you. I promise I will be gentle.’ Abhimanyu said wrapping his large hands around her waist. It was a rainy night and both Abhimanyu and Siya were stuck in their penthouse and yes they were alone.

Siya turned towards him and wrapped her hands around his neck. Tip toed she reached well tried to reach to his level and said ‘You can be inside even can do whatever you want but you won’t use condom.’

Her words stopped him who was fast enough to pick up the condom from the bedside drawer and about to tear the packet with his teeth.

She looked in his eyes straight which was trying to defy her.

‘You are too young to have another child and we already have one.’

‘I want one more child and an heir for this empire.’

‘Avu is the heir.’

‘Off course she is. But I want a son like my Ma has. And if you try to defy me then no more sex for this lifetime.’

His eyes widened but he tried to make her understand softly yet she cut him off.

‘I want one more child please, boy or girl I don’t care but I want one more child of ours. Please let me bring back my lost child please.’

She was his queen and he couldn’t deny her request.
